We are an independent family run
funeral service, dedicated to offering a caring,
sympathetic and professional service at all times.
Stephen Collop originally trained and worked as a
funeral director over 30 years ago, then, in 1979 he and
his brother in law, John Butler, purchased Kettley's
Furniture Centre, Yeadon which has the enviable
reputation as the North's leading chair specialists.
From the very first call, our staff are here to help
with all aspects of arranging a funeral. If the wishes
of the deceased are known, some of the decision making
for the family is easier. We are here to guide, advise
and assist you in formulation the funeral service you
feel is most appropriate.
In 1997 an opportunity arose for them to purchase the
Chapel of Rest at Kirk Lane, Yeadon. Stephen is very
well known locally and wanted to provide a caring and
personal service to the community but even he did not
anticipate the response. Due to the success, a second
chapel of rest was then acquired at Newall Carr Road,
Otley, where Stephen's daughter in-law Suzanne Parker is
based. Due to Kettley’s being a family business we will
go out of our way to accommodate people's special needs
and wishes and help to make sure everything runs as
smoothly as possible at this very difficult time.

pre-paid funeral bonds, underwritten for peace of mind
knowing that the investment is safe. Mr Collop stresses
that there are a lot of pre-paid bonds on the market,
but not all pay the full cost of fees and disbursements.
